ISBN 9781301520299
A factual account of a disastrous vacation to Mexico with friends...the memories lasted longer than the friendship. A memoir of a not so memorable trip to Mulege', Baja Mexico, several years ago with "friends". A seemingly innocent "adventure", that becomes a disaster. What do you do when you're over a thousand miles from home on a six week trip to the Mexican Baja, and you suddenly discover that one of the couple's traveling with you is bigoted, and doesn't even like Mexicans?
"My Name Is Ramona..." Non-Fiction Published April 8, 2013
ISBN 9781301362660
"My Name Is Ramona..." is the true story of one woman's misadventure. Ramona, a 79 year old woman with a love for windsurfing, decides to go windsurfing by herself one morning. Little did she know, the next twenty-four hours were going to be the
longest of her life. Three miles offshore, her mast breaks, leaving her drifting at the mercy of the tides and winds. She spends the next 24 hours drifting the Conception Bay, and hiking seven miles through the desert, desperately hoping someone will find her. But...no one realizes she is gone. This is her story.
Full length thrillers, in the process of completion:
"Uncle Joey Is Coming" In the beginning, you don't know if Joey is a sinister presence in his community, or not. He keeps to himself. His neighbors know nothing about him, and are not really interested in knowing the intense, sinister looking young man. In time, Joey comes home one day to find a pretty divorcee has moved in next door, with a fourteen year old daughter, and a twelve year old son. Joey is fascinated with the daughter. He can't really explain his interest, and has internal issues, feeling his interest is unnatural...perhaps perverted.
In a short time, Joey takes an interest in the mother, Rachel. The children go on a buying trip with their father to Buenos Aires, and are kidnapped. Joey reveals to Rachel just who and what he is. (For a peek at the story, click on the link at the beginning of this description.)
"Shell Game" The first of three in the series. "Shell Game", refers to the old shell game. "Through sleight of hand, the ability to deceive onlookers by manipulating objects, convincing observers they really aren’t seeing what they think they are, often times with the assistance of props."
Did we really get Osama Bin Laden? Did he really die that day in Pakistan? Or did our Seal Team in fact capture him, fake his death, and our government has him stashed at Guantanamo, Cuba; undergoing intense interrogation? (For a peek at the story, click on the link at the beginning of this description.)
"Bad President" The second of three in the series.
President Ryyan Mansoor, a man with a vague and questionable background, has been accused of being a Muslim. His birth records are vague. In a few short years, he has gone from a virtually ‘homeless state’ to ‘head of state’. He has ties to religious fanatics. His ethnic background is half black, and half white. Three years ago, he became our President.
Ryyan Mansoor rose to power at a time when Americans were desperate for change and he seemed to have the answers. The opposing party had no clear leader. Ryyan Mansoor promised change and America was ready. To make him more palatable to the public, Mansoor selected Oregon’s Governor, Gabriella Hayes, as his running mate, a wise choice. Governor Hayes is a highly regarded, highly qualified politician that is respected and loved by her constituents. She was definitely an invaluable asset to his winning the election.
But, what has become of this change? Are we seeing change? In truth, yes, we are seeing change. Our unemployment rates are up. Mortgage rates are up. Foreclosures are up. Wall Street is down. We are in the midst of a recession. The value of the U.S. Dollar worldwide is down. Our trade deficit is growing. Our National Debt is growing. The United States is no longer a world leader in economics. In truth, the United States is on the verge of bankruptcy. Yes, we have change, and what do we have to show for it? A Bad President... (For a peek at the story, click on the link at the beginning of this description.)
"Leap Of Faith" "Leap Of Faith" is the third book in the series, using some of the same characters from "Shell Game" and "Bad President". Right now, this is nothing more than an idea based on the next step following "Bad President", a natural progression. The story will center around the Vice President Gabriella Hayes, and her now husband, Adrian Wolfe. Gabriella had assumed the balance of Ryyan Mansoor's term, following his arrest. She was not elected to serve another term. At this point, the storyline is slated to take place in the Mulege area...or at least the beginning of it. Of course the bad guy, Abdul Ali-Rashad, and his comical communications specialist, Faarooq, will play a significant part in this story. I'm not sure where the story will go, until it writes itself.
